FANUC Corporation has been awarded a prestigious GOLD rating for sustainability by EcoVadis, a global leader in corporate sustainability ratings. This accolade places FANUC in the top 5 percent of all assessed companies worldwide, highlighting its commitment to sustainable practices.
EcoVadis evaluates the sustainability performance of over 150,000 companies globally, focusing on four key themes: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The ratings are based on international standards such as the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact and the International Labor Organization (ILO) conventions. The assessment process involves analysing responses to a detailed questionnaire and supporting documentation on performance.
This recognition is not FANUC's first for its sustainability efforts. Earlier this year, FANUC was honoured by the global environmental non-profit CDP for its leadership in corporate transparency and climate change performance, securing a spot on the annual “A List” for the second consecutive year. This distinction is awarded to only 2 percent of the more than 20,000 companies rated by CDP.
FANUC has set ambitious mid-term and long-term targets for reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, certified by the Science Based Targets (SBT) initiative. These targets include emission reductions from FANUC's own operations and from customers' activities through the development and provision of energy-efficient products.
Known for its innovative and durable products, FANUC has also been named among the “Top 100 Global Innovators 2025” by Clarivate Plc, a leading provider of transformative intelligence. This marks the sixth time and fourth consecutive year that FANUC has been listed. Clarivate ranks the top 100 most innovative corporations and institutions worldwide annually, using an assessment method based on proprietary patent data.
