The FANUC M-410/800F-32C is a new-generation robot with the ability to perform effortless palletising of heavy payloads up to 800 kg. This robust and fast robot can lift more and stack higher to optimise end-of-line palletising operations, ably supported by FANUC’s new R-50𝑖A robot controller with its raft of intelligent features and advanced cybersecurity.
With its impressive 800 kg payload capacity, the new FANUC M-410/800F-32C palletising robot offers a significant increase on the 700 kg capacity of the previous-generation model, hundreds of which are operational across Europe. The development reflects FANUC’s proven ability to meet evolving market requirements. This new palletising robot is a cost-effective, space-saving and flexible alternative to standard, conventional layer palletising solutions currently on the market.
Paul Ribus, FANUC’s Head of Robot Sales Coordination Europe, says: “The extremely rigid design of the M-410/800F-32C, which is our largest palletising robot, also supports a modest increase in reach to 3.2 metres. Together with the 800 kg payload, this provides the ability to stack heavy payloads both higher and wider. In fact, users can now reach a stacking height in excess of 3 metres. Our new robot also facilitates greater flexibility in gripper design. The optimisation of challenging palletising operations often necessitates the use of complex, multi-functional grippers, many of which are servo-driven [and heavy]. The increased payload of our M-410/800F-32C helps meet these requirements.”
Heralding a new era in powerful performance, the FANUC M-410/800F-32C palletising robot lacks nothing in speed or motion performance. High throughput in palletising and loading/unloading applications are assured with fast cycle times and a compact design. This floor-mounting robot has a footprint of less than 900 x 800 mm and features a compact base to permit installation in premises with a low ceiling height. The result is better flexibility for line builders and system integrators.
Users can ensure high efficiency in palletising tasks thanks to the robot’s advanced 4-axis kinematics, while optimal motion performance arrives courtesy of cutting-edge servo technology. Like all models in FANUC’s palletising robot series, the clean design of the M-410/800F-32C reduces any potential for peripheral interference. Key to this concept is smart cable management, where cables and pneumatic tubes can be routed through the robot’s hollow wrist, a design that also serves to extend cable life.
Providing a further benefit for both users and installers is FANUC’s new R-50𝑖A robot controller, which offers intelligent features, full integration with FANUC 𝑖RVision 2D/3D visual detection technology, and advanced cybersecurity. Indeed, the company’s research suggests it is the world’s first robot controller to obtain third-party certification for international cybersecurity in accordance with IEC62443-4-1 and 4-2. With the R-50𝑖A, it becomes possible to maximise robot performance, reduce installation time, improve ease of use and minimise energy consumption via numerous power-saving measures.
Boosting user comfort is the introduction of a new lightweight FANUC Teach Pendant with full touch panel operation. Believed to be the lightest in its class at just 750 g, the new Teach Pendant improves user experience by making programming both faster and easier. The technology also provides more flexibility for designing the HMI on the Teach Pendant itself.
Further enhancing palletising operations, the optional FANUC’s PalletTool 3 software allows operators to create and modify unit loads from the FANUC Tablet Teach Pendant directly on the shop floor. Users simply input product dimensions and the software provides a list of possible pallet patterns, as well as the space efficiency for each pattern.
